BOOTH DOES NOT INCLUDE ADMISSION---LIMITED SEATED SHOW---$10 AT THE DOOR---After a couple of years of side gigging, day-jobbing, baby-raising, rent-making, real life-ing, record-hiding, ex wife-ing, adding, subtracting and other non-related tasks, Austin, Texas’ the Happen-Ins have finally come around to releasing a sophomore album to follow-up their 2010 self-titled debut, The Happen-Ins. Recorded under the bespectacled supervision of producer Mike McCarthy in the summer of 2012 and set for release on CD and Digital Download March 3, 2015, the album, coyly entitled Glamour Shots, offers another genre casserole serving of floor-shaking polyrhythmic arrangements, dancehall synths, and layered background vocals, in addition to the rollicking, swerving guitars, heavy R&B melodies, and relevant pop sensibilities that are the lynchpins of the band’s unique sound. With an additional vinyl version release planned for April 2015, Glamour Shots promises to shed some soft light on the New Year for the Happen-Ins.
