The British are coming Sunday 3/29 to Sam’s Burger Joint.   It’s the Beatles, the Stones and The Kinks, all in one night.  It’s less a battle of the bands, more a celebration of 1960’s songwriting craft and rock and roll postures.  Buttercup will perform a wild set of Kinks’ hits like “All Day and All of the Night” and “Sunny Afternoon”.  Many are familiar with Buttercup’s obsession with the Kinks’ unique musical genius.  NPR states Buttercup’s Kinks-inspired original compositions “stand on their own as eccentric pop gems out to tickle the left side of your brain.”  Local legends the Krayolas (ironically whose K is a nod to the Kinks) will perform the rough-edged, brilliant songs of the Rolling Stones.    Finally, the Navaira Brothers (of Ready Revolution and Emilio fame) will tackle a set of the Beatles’ greatest, with perfect harmonies.  ; Few can raise the flag of Beatlemania as high as Emilio and Diego Navaira.
