Dubbed “The Springsteen of the Southwest,” by Asbury Park Press, Roger Clyne has written and record seven studio albums with The Peacemakers (commonly referred to as RCPM by fans) since 1999, all of them landing on the top ten of Billboard’s Internet Sales Chart. And all accomplished on a 100% independent label. The band's latest release, 2014's "The Independent," features another solid combination of singer Roger Clyne's witty and insightful lyrics with the crunching lead guitar of Jim Dalton. Prior to forming RCPM, Clyne was lead singer/songwriter for the seminal Tempe-based band, The Refreshments. The band's 1996 cult-classic, Fizzy, Fuzzy, Big and Buzzy produced the modern rock hits "Banditos" and "Down Together." The Refreshments also wrote the theme for TV's "King of the Hill" which can still be heard everyday across the nation in syndication. Dalton is proud to call Colorado his home. He grew up in a musical family, including having a father who worked for the The Doobie Brothers, and a Colorado legend for an uncle in Terry Dalton. In 2000, he co-founded The Railbenders, named Colorado's best country band from 2002 to 2006 by either the Rocky Mountain News or the Westword Music Showcase. Dalton joined RCPM in 2009. When he's not playing with RCPM or The Railbenders, he often can be found playing with fellow Colorado resident Johnny Hickman (Cracker) in their group The Hickman-Dalton Gang. Catch the fun of both frontman and lead axeman at Sam’s Burger Joint in San Antonio for St. Patty’s Day!
