BOOTH DOES NOT INCLUDE ADMISSION---LIMITED SEATED SHOW---Johnny Chops has been touring, recording and writing with the Randy Rogers Band as a bass player for the past ten years. Several of his songs have become staples of their electric live show; including “10 Miles Deep”, where he usually makes a cameo vocal appearance, “Wicked Ways”, chosen to perform on the David Letterman Show in 2009 and “Last Last Chance” which made it to number one on the Texas Music Chart in 2012. When he makes it home to Austin, TX he locks himself away, picks up a guitar and starts writing. After collecting several dozen tunes over the years, he decided to give them life outside the songwriter’s notebook. The result is Sticks and Stones, his first album as a solo artist. While his work with the RRB is steeped in 70’s style stomp country, (aka the “Waylon beat”), Chops grew up with a host of other musical influences, from blues and rock and roll, to punk and rockabilly. Fusing all these elements together and forming a unique and memorable sound, the new album will be available on iTunes and all digital media outlets October 1st. You may even be able to track him down on the road at the RRB merchandise booth for a special vinyl copy.
